ANCESTORS
About Us
WHO WE ARE
Ancestors is an invitation-only golf tournament and charitable community built around competition, relationships, legacy, and generosity. Every year, a small group comes together to honor the past and inspire the future — through the game, through each other, and through the young people we support along the way.
OUR PURPOSE
The golf is fun. The matches are competitive. But the part that lasts is the impact. Ancestors exists to bring people together around something bigger than a scorecard, and to fund real opportunity for the next generation through the Western Golf Association's Evans Scholars Foundation.
Vision vs. Legacy
Every Ancestor is placed on one of two teams — Team Vision or Team Legacy — for life. It's a friendly rivalry in service of a shared purpose: the relationship with the Ancestors community outlasts any single tournament or team assignment.
Our Values
Community — We show up for each other, year after year.
Generosity — We give freely, of time, resources, and encouragement.
Presence — We're fully here, on the course and off it.
Fun — We take the mission seriously, never ourselves.
Innovation — We keep finding better ways to compete, connect, and give.
Our History
2025 — Bandon Dunes (inaugural year)
2026 — Sand Valley
2027 — Bandon Dunes (Ancestors rotates between two legendary venues)

Meet Rachael Carter — The First Ancestors Scholar
The inaugural Ancestors tournament raised $125,000 for the Evans Scholars Foundation, given in memory of Charlie Mulieri. That gift helped fund a full scholarship for Rachael Carter, a young golfer whose determination and character embodied everything Ancestors hopes to support. Rachael is pursuing her degree at the University of Maryland with the Evans Scholarship covering tuition and housing — a life-changing opportunity made possible by the Ancestors community. She is the first of what we hope will be many Ancestors Scholars.
