BURN THE BOATS
ANCEStors 2025 highlights
We are ghosts or we are ancestors in our children's lives. We either lay our mistakes, our burdens upon them, and we haunt them, or we assist them in laying those old burdens down. And as ancestors, we walk alongside of them, and we assist them in finding their own way, and some transcendence.

Vision vs. Legacy

Presence

With generosity leading the way, these men had one mission for the inaugural year: Endowed Evans Scholarship in the name of Ancestors and Charlie Mulieri, the late son of one of our members. If we didn’t raise the money, none of it would matter. Did we accomplish our goal?

A Tribute to Charlie Mulieri
Ancestors kicked off with a welcome party and putting contest at the Punchbowl, the air buzzing with anticipation and the weight of the tournament ahead. Team Vision declared its motto, “Burn the Boats,” the idea of forward progress at all costs, while Team Legacy answered with, “Live in the Past,” a reminder to learn from those who came before us. As tradition holds, the tournament began with the toll of three bells—one for Vision, one for Legacy, and one for the Ancestors who couldn’t be there, but were surely with us.
